Adult Education Instructors

Academic - Part-time

Sauk Valley Community College, a comprehensive community college invites applications from innovative individuals for part-time Adult Education Instructors (adjunct faculty).

Responsibilities:

Adult Education instructors teach GED classes (the high school equivalency credential) for adults who did not finish high school and English as a Second Language for non-English speaking adult immigrants for classes in Morrison and Prophetstown.  Bilingual skills are not required. 

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree is required.  Experience teaching adults, knowledge of adult education or a degree in education are preferred.  The successful candidate will be able to provide verbal/visual presentations and instruction to students.  Computer literacy is a must
