Mission Statement
The SVCC Office of Student Financial Assistance enhances learning by educating and assisting our students and community with their academically related expenses thereby helping them achieve their educational goals.
ATTENTION!!
Students with early registration are responsible for making payment arrangements for Summer & Fall 2010 by May 24th. Students who fail to make appropriate arrangements WILL BE DROPPED FOR NON PAYMENT on May 25th.
Arrangements may be made by:

Turning in ALL required documentation to the Office of Student Financial Assistance and receiving an Estimated Award Letter or being placed on a Tuition Hold.*

Setting up a Deferred Payment Plan through the Business Office; or
-
Paying your bill in full through the Business Office
It is your responsibility to ensure that arrangements have been made. If you are dropped for non-payment, you will have to re-register and you are not guaranteed spots in your original courses.
*Students who are depending on financial assistance and who have not received an Estimated Award Letter or Tuition Hold WILL BE DROPPED. If registering for Summer courses, you must stop in the Office of Financial Assistance after registering. Summer financial assistance is not automatically put on your account.

Awards $500 to a female student who completes an SVCC Foundation Application and turns in a short essay explaining how they plan to use their education to empower women. Deadline March 1, 2010. |

The Office of Student Financial Assistance is doing our part by using fewer resources!
For returning students, all communication from the Office of Student Financial Assistance will be sent to your SVCC provided e-mail. Document request letters for the 09-10 academic year are being sent out now. Please check your student e-mail often in order to ensure timely processing of your financial assistance. You may access your student e-mail account HERE.
Thinking about registering for Summer/Fall 2010?
Summer/Fall Registration began April 6th! Make sure you have completed your FAFSA and returned all required documents in order to make the process easier.
Summer 2010: Complete 09-10 FAFSA no later than March 15th to ensure timely processing
Fall 2010: Complete 10-11 FAFSA no later than March 1st for priority consideration
Unsure what documents you need to turn in? Returning students need to check their SVCC provided student e-mail for their document request letter. New students will receive paper mail until they receive their first award letter.
