Retake Policy

You may retake two tests. You may not retake quizzes, or the final. Your grade will be the higher of the test and the retake, but will not be higher than 'B'. You must retake before the next quiz or test. Please see me if you want a retake, or if you have any questions.

Proficiency requirement

Proficiency can be demonstrated in either of two ways:

1. Earning a Compass Algebra score of 42 or higher; This is an option only for students who have a C grade immediately prior to the last week of class.
2. Passing a departmental final exam with a score of 70% or higher. A new practice final is available for students to study -- preparation is critical to success on the final exam.
