| Zip multiple files |
| There are several ways to zip multiple files. The demonstrated method creates a folder, moves the files into that new folder, then zips the folder. |
- Create a new folder in the following manner:
- Navigate to the location of the files you wish to zip. Typically, this will be your flash drive.
- When you can see the files, right-click on a blank area of the screen and choose New... Then, choose Folder.
- A new folder appears, with a temporary name. Click on the temporary name and type the name you wish to use. For an assignment, this might be your last name and the Assignment name. Press ENTER to save the new name.
- Locate the files you wish to zip. Use your mouse to drag the files into the new folder. Drop the files on top of the folder, and when the folder name turns blue, release the mouse.
- Right-click on the folder and choose Send to...Compressed (zipped) folder.
- A new folder is created. The folder carries the name of the file you zipped, and the folder has a zipper icon on it. Depending on how your computer is configured, you may not see the complete folder name.

| Whether you have zipped a single file, or several files into a folder, you are now ready to upload your work. |
