Faculty advisor for the Beta Alpha Gamma chapter of  Phi Theta Kappa International, the student honor society for two-year colleges (1/98- present).   The chapter received Student Organization of the Year at SVCC in 2000 and 2002.  SVCC's chapter received a five-star rating (highest possible) from 2000 until present (5 years running).

Duties and Responsibilities
Developed, organized, and presented written proposals for research on the behavior of free-ranging lizards, specifically Anolis carolinensis (the green anole, see picture at left).  Coordinated and organized research expeditions to Augusta, GA for self and 1-2 research assistants.  Purchased equipment.  Conducted field research over two summers for four months each.  Analyzed data using computer statistical programs.  All research is currently published in peer reviewed journals.
