His wife Sherry, is a Reading Specialist / Elementary Teacher. They have a son Joshua who is a student at the University of Southern California.

Mr. Letchford has taught mathematics in Iowa for the past 36 years at the jr. and sr. high level. Currently he is teaching in Camanche, Iowa.

Amongst his hobbies are computer graphics, activities and applications; Ham Radio (AA0TU) and being a VE tester; and competitive card and board games.
