Mathematics Program Objectives

1. To develop a working understanding of number, pattern, space, data, and computation that allows one to continue the learning process and function effectively in society.
2. To develop the interpretive skills needed to decipher information necessary for an understanding of world events and phenomena
3. To develop appreciative skills that allow for an overview of mathematics, an understanding of the process by which mathematical knowledge expands, and a comprehension of the role that mathematics plays in other disciplines.
