Randy Ortgiesen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1983 after completing the pre-engineering curriculum and Associate of Science degree at Sauk Valley Community College in 1981. He later earned a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in 1991. Randy is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Illinois and Virginia and is employed full time by Universities Research Association, Inc. at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia.
Randy
joined the SVCC Adjunct
Math Faculty in January
2005. He has worked
as a part time math
instructor for the University
of Maryland teaching
algebra and trigonometry.
Randy is thrilled to
return to SVCC in a
teaching capacity to
help instill student
interest in mathematics
and associated careers,
or continuing education.
Randy is married with
five children, lives
in Dixon, and enjoys
outdoor activities. |
