The Sauk Valley Women's Volleyball team successfully kicked off their season Saturday with a 2nd place finish at the 8-team Black Hawk Tournament in Moline.
The Skyhawks went 4-1 on the day, posting wins against St. Ambrose JV(25-21, 20-25, 15-5); Clinton CC (26-24-25-12); South SuburbanCC (25-23, 25-23); and Waubonsee CC (25-9, 21-25, 15-12); before losing in the Championship Match to Rock Valley College(21-25, 16-25).
Freshman Kalli Scheppers was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Sauk travels to Rockford on Tuesday for a re-match with Rock Valley College, and they open their home schedule on Wednesday against Clinton at 6:00 p.m. Don't miss the action!
