Purpose:

The Senior Helpline evaluates and answers questions as well as provide information, assistance, and literature regarding seniors. The Helpline also helps seniors to locate services in their communities and link the seniors to local case management services.

Remarks:

The Senior Helpline provides information about services and programs linked to persons of ages 60 and older as well as their caregivers. Information is provided on a variety of topics such as nutrition, case management, employment, transportation, and much more. Literature and referrals are also given out. Needs are assessed by a professional staff. The staff also provides elder abuse intake and accept appeals and service queries from the Community Care Program clients.
