The United Way of Northwest Illinois, Inc. provides quality human and financial resources in response to identified health and human service needs to improve the quality of life. The branch strives to be the critical link which brings together our diverse communities to build stronger, healthier and more sustainable communities as cost effectively as possible.

The United Way of Northwest Illinois helps many agencies and programs in the Stephenson and Jo Daviess area. The agencies and programs include the American Red Cross, Catholic Charities, YMCA, Boys and Girls Scouts, Prairie State Legal Services, Kreider Services, Stephenson County Health Department, Salvation Army, and many more. Donations are very much appreciated.
