Purpose:
The Whiteside Housing Authority provides safe, decent and affordable housing for low and middle income families and individuals.
Remarks:
The housing authority has the public housing, section 8 vouchers, new construction and tax credits. Each program has its own individual guidelines, which are constantly changing. Each housing project provides different services per the needs of the tenants. The family project is involved with the "Feed the Children" summer food program. With the elderly projects, the tenants have access to library books, a laundromat, outdoor grilling, gardening, and social activities.
