Production Poster
A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Magic potions, a mischievous sprite, and the trials of true love meet head on in the Athenian forest when four friends
unknowingly find themselves in the domain of the fairy King and Queen. “The course of true love never does run smooth”
in this romantic comedy of love, inconstancy, tradition, and chaos.

Summer Shakespeare in the Park:
This summer, SVCC will be teaming up with the Woodlawn Arts Academy to present A Midsummer Night’s Dream
outside on the Woodlawn Arts Academy lawn. Sauk students, area high school students, and members of the Sauk Valley community will be participating in the production both on stage and behind the scenes. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, snack on some hors d’oeuvres, and enjoy the work of William Shakespeare, one of our language’s most eloquent, inventive, and humorous wordsmiths.
