HLC 2011 Self-Study Document
How This Report Is Organized
We have chosen to organize the study around the five HLC criteria and have included the required profile and accreditation history. Several additional sections have been included:
Evidence Statements, which appear briefly as numbered topic headings in the report, are indexed in a special supplement section at the end of the report ().
The Four Themes, established by the HLC as an alternate organizational principle against which to measure the institution, are addressed in the Closing Self-Reflection as an opportunity to highlight the strengths of the college ().
A Glossary of acronyms and initializations has been provided. We have also included a few key terms that describe our system ().
In the Appendix we have included documents containing supporting evidence to the self-study of general importance ().
Hyperlinks are present in this document in a variety of formats, usually accompanied by an icon, but sometimes directly to a word or phrase. We do not guarantee that these links to materials outside of the report will remain unbroken or that the material to which we have linked will remain unchanged.
Icons provide a quick visual reference to the type of support information. All but the last of the following list will also be hyperlinked to additional information within or external to the self-study report:
The globe () indicates a courtesy link to an external website.
The arrow () indicates a cross-reference to a related discussion in another section of the self-study or an appendix, which will be identified by codes we have assigned or to a portion of a section title.
The computer () links to supporting electronic resource room documentation that is housed on the Sauk website.
The padlock () links to supporting electronic resource room document is stored on FAST, the password-protected area of our website. It is not generally available for public viewing.
