SVCC to Host Annual Child Fair on March 27
- Book Bee, 8:30 a.m., Room 2K2. Children will have the opportunity to read books, answer questions, and win prizes. Sign-in will be from 8:30 to 9 a.m. A recommended reading list is available at local schools. Pre-registration is required. To pre-register, call Anita Elgin at the Sterling Public Library at 815/625-1370.
- IL CHIP Program, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Cafeteria. This program will take a photo, DNA sample, fingerprints, and record a short interview of the child. All data is recorded on a CD for the parent at no charge. IL CHIP keeps only parental permission forms on file. The CD stays with the parent. For more information, go to www.ilchip.org.
- Pinewood Derby Race Track, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., East Mall.
- Car Seat Safety Check, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., gymnasium.
- Children’s Theatre, Noon to 1 p.m., Mathis Theatre.
- Petting Zoo, East Mall. A variety of loveable, animals in all shapes and sizes.
