Sauk's Concert Band to Present Spring Concert April 10th

Sauk Valley Community College's Concert Band will present a Spring Concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, in Sauk’s East Mall. There is no charge to attend and the public is invited.

The Concert Band, under the direction of Mark Bressler, will perform “American We,” by Henry Fillmore; “Morning Noon and Night in Vienna,” by Franz von Suppe, arranged by Tobani; “Tuba Rhapsody” by Clare Grundman and featuring tuba soloist Jordan Schram; two “Grainger Melodies-Percy Grainer,” transcribed by Joseph Krienes that include “Six Dukes went a-fishing” and “Early One Morning.”

The band will also perform “Galop-Dmitri Shostakovich,” transcribed by Donald Hunsberger; “Dance of the Jesters,” Peter Tchaikovsky, transcribed by Bill Holcombe; “I. Molto Allegro Serenade,” by Derek Bourgeois; and “Library of Congress March,” by John Philip Sousa, arranged and orchestrated by Stephen Bulla.
