to access SOAR and E-mail. It will also explain how to use your Sauk Login to access Moodle, LRC Resources Online, and to print in campus computer labs.

SOAR
Sauk Online Access to Records,
SOAR, gives you online access to many of your student records. Through SOAR,
you can request updates to personal information, such as your address, email,
and emergency contact information. You can also access student services,
including financial aid; check your registration status, class schedule,
grades, and transcripts; and review financial status and loans.

Username – 8
digit student ID including @
Example:

PIN – The
first time you login as a student your PIN is your birthdate (mmddyy). Once
logged in, you will be required to change your PIN.
Student E-mail
You will receive email from
Sauk Valley Community College and your instructors. For this reason, it’s
important for you to regularly check your SVCC student email, or to forward it
to an account that you regularly check.
Your email address is
username@students.svcc.edu

john.a.smith@students.svcc.edu

From
this page, click on the link “Student Email” under the “Students” section, or
choose “Student E-mail” under the Quick Jump Menu.
Username – firstname.middleinitial.lastname Example:
john.a.smith
Exceptions
- If your middle initial is not on file, your
username will be firstname.lastname (Example: john.smith)
- If your firstname.middleinitial.lastname is more
than 20 characters, your username is firstinitial.middleinitial.lastname.
(Example: j.a.smith)
Password – svXXXX (XXXX is the last four digits of your
student ID)

SAUK Login
Your Sauk Login is used to access,
Moodle, LRC Resources Online, and to print in labs. All of these resources
use the same password and username combination. When you change your Sauk Login
password, it will be changed for all systems that use the Sauk Login.

SVCC Moodle
Moodle is a course management
system used by faculty to present course materials, assessments, grades, etc.
online. All online courses and some on-campus course materials appear in
Moodle

this page, click on the link “Moodle” under the “Students” section, or choose
“Log into Moodle” under the Quick Jump Menu.
LRC Resources Online - Off Campus Access
Use your Sauk Login to access
LRC/Library resources such as eBooks and research databases from off campus.
Go to: http://www.svcc.edu/departments/lrc/
No login is necessary
when accessing the LRC Resources Online from a computer on campus.
SVCC Printing in the Labs
Use your Sauk Login to print in
all computer labs. Students are limited to printing 30 pages at a time. To
print more than 30 pages, visit the LRC/Library, room 3L01.

- Forgot your Sauk Login username? You can look up your username by
logging into SOAR.
- Go to https://soar.svcc.edu and
click “Login to Your Records.”
- Login using your SOAR login.
- Click “Personal Information.”
- Click “View/Update Email Address.”
- Note:
Your username is the part of your email address BEFORE the “@,” such as
john.a.smith.
