Additional Loan Amounts

A student may request an additional $2000.00 in Unsubsidized Stafford Loans. This amount is in addition to amount listed on the SVCC Loan Policy.

You may request the additional unsubsidized amount in writing either mailed, e-mailed, or delivered to the Office of Financial Assistance. The request for the additional unsubsidized loan amount should be requested using the Financial Assistance Loan Appeal Form. The form may be picked up in the Office of Student Financial Assistance or printed from the SVCC web site.

On the SVCC web site the form is located under, Departments, select Financial Assistance, select Financial Assistance Forms, select Loan Appeal Form, and print.

Your appeal should specify the amount you are requesting, your current financial circumstances, the reasons you are requesting the additional unsubsidized amounts, and how they will be used.
