Have your transcripts (high school, GED, College/University) sent directly to SVCC's Office of Admissions and Records. If you are transferring college credit to SVCC, complete the Transcript Evaluation Form available online and in the Office of Admissions and Records and request your transcripts from your former institution. - Apply for Financial Aid — APPLY EARLY!
Students interested in financial aid, scholarships or veterans benefits should visit or call (815-835-6373) the Office of Student Financial Assistance. If eligible, these programs can help defray the cost of your courses, books and/or living expenses. - Complete Placement Testing (if necessary)
To assist you in choosing courses appropriate to your academic level, placement testing in English usage, reading and math is required of all students registering for college courses. Contact the Testing Center (815-835-6530). - Meet with a Counselor
Schedule an appointment with a counselor to discuss your educational plans. At this meeting, you will go over your placement results and select courses for the upcoming semester. To make an appointment, call 815-835-6354. - Register for classes
Register for classes through the Office of Admissions and Records (815-835-6273) during specified dates and times. Students can register on campus via the Internet (SOAR: Sauk's Online Access to Records). Click here for online registration guidelines. - Pay Tuition & Fees
Pay tuition & fees for your courses in the Business Office (815-835-6267). Forms of payment include cash, check, credit card or apply for the deferred payment plan. Students who register early have until a designated date to pay. After this date, tuition and fees are due on the day you register for classes. - Get the things you need
Visit the SVCC Bookstore to buy your books, supplies and other items to get your semester off to a great start.
