This program is intended to prepare CAD operators for immediate employment by providing the intermediate computer-aided drafting skills and comprehensive knowledge necessary to seek more advanced employment in design-related jobs such as CAD Technicians. In addition to more extensive hands-on CAD training, a student will become familiar with various foundation courses in related manufacturing processes and advanced drafting techniques that will be required of a CAD drafter.
Work and Employment
Computer-aided design systems can be used for the production of draft documents in a wide variety of fields. These fields can range from manufacturing to civil engineering, to structural engineering and even electrical and electronics engineering. All of these fields require that the worker be skilled, precise, efficient, knowledgeable and timely. All of these factors are covered in classroom lectures as well as extensive laboratory exercises.
