This program is designed to prepare students for employment in entry-level employment in the heating and air installation field.
The installer certificate may become the first step toward the completion of the Entry Level Technician and Associate in Applied Science degree in Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Work and Employment
The installer is an entry-level position. The program graduate will typically be installing and connecting duct work, electric lines, copper tubing lines and general construction labor work. Work conducted as an installer is usually supervised by a seasoned professional.
The installer must be able to work in construction type environments and be able to lift 50 pounds frequently and 80 pounds occasionally.
