Head Coach Chris Davis
Chris Davis will enter his third year as head coach of the Skyhawk's baseball team after serving as the Assistant Head Coach and Pitching Coach the previous 3 years. Coach Davis focuses on the mental and physical approach to the game, on and off the field.
Coach Davis has been an assistant and head coach ranging from youth sports to high school level competition over the past 20 years, emphasizing fundamentals and team unity in each sport.
Growing up in Sterling, Davis played baseball and golf at the high school level for Sterling High School. He is a U.S. Army Veteran, having served his country for four years and is currently pursuing a degree in Sports Management/Coaching.
Coach Davis resides in Sterling with his wife Kimberly, and they have been married 26 years. Chris and Kim have 3 children. Emma (a Western Illinois graduate with a Psychology and Exercise Science Degree) is furthering her education at Pacific College Oriental Medicine. Former Skyhawk baseball players, Evan and Brady (Chicago State University graduates in Business) are working for the Chicago Cubs. All three children are living together happily in Chicago.
