After a one point victory in the first game at home (93-92)the Skyhawks were prepared for a tough conference road game at Carl Sandburg.But for the second consecutive game the Skyhawk defense showed up in a big way holding the Chargers to 32 points in the first half to lead 43-32 at the half.The Skyhawk defense was even better in the second half holding Carl Sandburg to31 points and 63 points over all; holding Carl Sandburg 29 points lower than at Sauk Valley to secure a 88-63 victory. Not only was the Skyhawk defense strong, Sauk's fast break was also strong keeping Carl Sandburg defense on the run throughout the game. Leading the way for the Skyhawks once again was their sophomore trio of Combs, Waller, and Williams. Rico Combs had an outstanding all around game with 23 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Kwan Waller, lastweek's Region IV Division I "player of the week" had 20 points, 4 assists and no turnovers, while DJ Williams had 18 points and 6 steals and recovers on thedefensive end. It was also the second straight game that the Skyhawks had 25 or more assists.
