For the second straight game the Skyhawks played outstanding defense in the first half, this time holding Black Hawk to 25 points. TheSkyhawks were just as sharp on the offensive end, scoring 47 points to take a 22 point lead into halftime 47-25. The second half saw the Skyhawks defense notas sharp as the Braves, who made a strong run to close within 3 points beforethe Skyhawks took control of the game with the final run to secure an 82-73victory and avenge a disappointing loss at Black Hawk in early January. The Skyhawks put five players in double figures, lead by sophomore forward Rico Combs 23 points and 13 rebounds. Also in double figures for the Skyhawks were DJ Williams and JaMario Dunlap with 14 points, while Robbie Minor and Kwan Waller chipped in 12 and 10 points respectively. Minor also had a team high 6 assists while sophomore James VanNatta came off the bench to get 7 rebounds, second best for the Skyhawks (17-8 7-2) in the home conference matchup.
