The 2013 Skyhawk Cross Country team will have 9 members – 4 women and 5 men. Three are returning runners. The challenge of the sophomores will be to show leadership and guidance in molding the group into a successful team. This should be achievable since these freshmen have worked hard and were in successful area high school programs.
The 2013 season consists of nine meets, including the Tenth Annual Skyhawk Invitational on October 19.
The women’s team is composed of one returning runner, Shawna Anderson (Sterling) and three freshmen: Aubree Johnson (Rock Falls), Jordan Melville (Byron), and Jennifer Woodworth (P’town).
The men’s team is made up of two returning runners: Travis Waldschmidt (Sterling) and Kenneth Catton (Bureau Valley), and three freshmen: Brandt Cole (Rock Falls), Michael Farringer (New-man), and Josh Green (P’town).
“It will be an interesting season as we train, improve, and set and achieve high goals for this cross country season.”
