The Skyhawks traveled to Beloit on Friday for the Old English Classic and had several outstanding performances.

First on the women's side, Sauk Valley finished 5th overall (Top Junior College) and Mercedes Sanchez finished 3rd overall in the four year college dominated meet at 21:34.  Second Skyhawk was Santana Estrasa with a 24:31 to finish 18th and Maraley Velazquez finished 21st in a time of 25:18.

On the Men's side, Seth Williams turned in a 28:47 to also, like Mercedez, finish third overall.  The third Skyhawks with a single digit finish was Peter Delafuente, finishing 9th with a 29:59 time. Skyhawks Chase Fisher and Quincy Coomes finished one second apart to finish 20th and 21st overall for the meet.

The Skyhawks are off this week before traveling to St. Ambrose on October 8.
