Go Skyhawks! - Fear the Feathers

Golf Nationals

After a first round 78, Jacob Rude improved his standing with a 77 in Round 2.

After a nice par on the first two holes, a wayward drive on number 3 left a tough third shot. He was unable to convert, making a bogey. The difficult par 5 fourth, Jacobs drive found the left water hazard. He fought his way to a double bogey on the 600 yard par 5. A beautiful drive on number set up his only birdie of the day.

Rude turned it on for the back nine Wednesday.  A great two putt par on 10, a great up and down on 11 and a smooth par on 12 left him with a great start on the back. The 210 yard par 3 13th was a chore. He was unable to get up and down to save par.

The par 5 15th was the highlight of the day. After crushing a drive over 310 yards, he was left with a short iron to the pin. He hit the iron to 12 feet and make a terrific eagle.

He finished his round with a bogey on the par 3 16th, a great par on 17 and 18. He will tee off at 12:15 eastern, 11:15 central for his third round.

Great playing Jake! Go Skyhawks!!
