Volleyball Goes 2-2 at Parkland Tournament

Sauk was in Champaign for Parkland’s North vs South tournament this weekend and came away 2-2.

On Friday they opened up with Wabash Valley and won a 5 set match by scores of 25-15, 21-25, 25-22, 19-25 & 15-10. They then took on Lincoln Land and lost a 3 set match 16-25, 22-25 & 20-15. 

On Saturday they opened up with the nation's #1 team, Parkland, and lost in straight sets by scores of 17-25, 15-25 & 16-25. They closed out the tournament by winning a tough 5 set match against Lake Land by scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-27, 25-20 & 17-15.

Hannah Wilson - 28 kills, 10 kill blocks
Shannon Lytle - 23 kills, 10 kill blocks
Hannah McCarty - 20 kills

The Skyhawks are now 25-13. They travel to IVCC for their final Arrowhead match on Tuesday - with a win they are guaranteed at least a share of the conference title with Carl Sandburg.
