The Skyhawks (33-6) will now play the Region IV Championships at the College of Lake County (Grayslake)  on Saturday(Nov 8).  The Skyhawks first match is on Court 1 at 10:00 against conference rival Black Hawk East. A win moves the Skyhawks to the first championship match at 12:00; a loss moves the Skyhawks to the 12:00 playback round.  The third round is at 2:30 and is the "second championship match".  Two wins ( win win, win lose win, lose win win) will send the Skyhawks to the NJCAA Nationals!!!!  GO SKYHAWKS!!!!!

Sauk Volleyball traveled to College of Lake County today for the Region IV Championships.  In their first match, they defeated Black Hawk East in straight sets by scores of 25-21, 25-21 & 25-14.  Leaders for the Skyhawks were Jordan Giddings with 14 kills, Shiela Browning and Kristyn Kasner with 9 kills each, Kiarra Harris with 8 kills and 3.0 kill blocks, Morgan Mammosser with 20 digs, Bri Correa with 13 digs, Kayci Howell with 18 assists and Haley McAuliffe with 14 assists. 


In the championship match, The Skyhawks came away with a 4 set win to punch their ticket to the national tournament for the first time in school history.  Scores were 25-21, 24-26, 25-23 & 25-21.  Leaders for Sauk were Jordan Giddings with 21 kills, Kiarra Harris with 14 kills and 2.5 kill blocks, Shiela Browning with 12 kills, Alyssa Workman with 5 kills and 2.5 kill blocks, Kristyn Kasner with 5 kills, Megan Rosengren with 4 kills, Morgan Mammosser with 39 digs, Bri Correa with 22 digs, Kayci Howell with 34 assists and 15 digs, and Haley McAuliffe with 18 assists. 

Jordan Giddings, Morgan Mammosser and Shiela Browning were named to the all-tournament team.

Sauk is now 35-6; they have won 18 matches in a row, and will advance to the NJCAA Division II National Championship in Phoenix, AZ on November 20-22.
