Sauk Makes it Possible — You Make it Happen

The Sauk Valley Volleyball team traveled to Kankakee this weekend for the Kankakee Invite, and came away with 2nd place, going 3-1.

 On Friday the Skyhawks opened up against Parkland College, ranked #1 in NJCAA DII, and fell 0-3 by scores of 15-25, 20-25 and 21-25.  Sauk was led in that match by Jordan Giddings and Kristyn Kasner with 7 kills each and Morgan Mammosser with 19 digs.  In their 2nd match on Friday, the Skyhawks defeated Robert Morris – Springfield 3-1 by scores of 25-12, 27-25, 22-25 & 25-16.  Sauk was led in the match by Jordan Giddings with 22 kills, Kiarra Harris with 3.5 kill blocks, Haley McAuliffe with 27 assists and Morgan Mammosser with 31 digs.

On Saturday, Sauk opened up with Ancilla College and came away with a 3-1 win by scores of 25-19. 15-25, 25-12 & 25-16.  Sauk was led by Jordan Giddings with 22 kills, Kiarra Harris with 10 kills and 4.0 kill blocks, and Morgan Mammosser and Bri Correa both with 16 digs.  In their 2nd today against host Kankakee, the Skyhawks won a 5 set match, 25-18, 21-25, 14-25, 25-19 & 15-11.  The Skyhawks were led by Kristyn Kasner with 14 kills and 2.5 kill blocks Jordan Giddings with 13 kills and 2.5 kill blocks, Kiarra Harris with 10 kills and 3 kill blocks, Brooke Williams with 9 kills and 4 kill blocks, Morgan Mammosser with 31 digs and Kayci Howell with 30 assists.

Sauk improves to 10-2 on the season - they continue conference play on Tuesday when Highland comes to SVCC.
