Students will learn how to make chocolate-covered cherries, dessert cups, and peanut butter or caramel-filled
chocolates to fill their Easter Basket with this spring.Learn how to paint with molded chocolate to make colorful
suckers.
Supplies will be purchased from instructor for $8.

Straw “Sinamay” Hat Making
Sinamay is the new rage in hat making. This loosely woven
organic material lends itself well to many hat shapes and designs.
Students will create a light-weight, airy, fashionable hat using
traditional techniques. The hat featured in the class will be a
sun/straw hat with a brim.
Students will need to bring to class: scissors, small hand towel,
wire cutters, tape measure, bowl (no bigger than their head).

Fascinator/Cocktail Hat Making
In this course, students will learn to make the popular fascinator
(
a small decorative hat) using traditional hat making techniques.
Fascinator/cocktail hats lend themselves to interesting, creative,
and sculptural design. A beautifully created hat will make a real
fashion statement. All students will take home a hat that they have
created during class.
Students will need to bring to class: scissors, small hand towel,
wire cutters, tape measure, and a bowl (no bigger than their head).
