Muay Thai (Thai Kickboxing) is an ancient form of Martial Art that hails from Thailand, where it is the National sport. Guided by the “qualities” of courage, endurance, patience, compassion, gratitude, knowledge and honesty; learn about the body’s nine weapons and how to harness them for self-defense. This class will teach women the art of Muay Thai for self-defense and fitness without the sparring aspect of full contact Muay Thai. This class is a mix of learning technique, pad work, and cardio. Tai Chi is an exercise of gentle postures, slowly flowing from one to the next, coordinated with breath. Tai Chi both conditions the body and focuses the mind. Because of the slow, gentle nature of this ancient art, it is suitable for all ages and ability levels. The information session is being offered for individuals to meet Elias Patras, the instructor of “Introduction to Tapping into Your Inner Voice” and “Manifesting Your Desires”. Individuals will listen to a short presentation about the upcoming courses and will have the opportunity to ask questions. The information session is free, but registration is required. (Ages 18 amp; Up)Elias is a Motivational Intuitive Coach, Author, Retreat Facilitator, Holistic Bodyworker, Reiki Practitioner, and Ordained Minister. His ongoing studies in Intuitive Energy Work have progressed since 1997. In 2002, he graduated from the Chicago School of Massage Therapy and continued to teach massage at New School for Massage, Bodywork and Healing at Cortiva Chicago School of Massage. He taught several continuing education classes for massage therapists. He completed a 2 year apprenticeship program in Shamanic Studies with Rainbow Journey. He has facilitated workshops, weekend retreats and monthly meetings including a workshop called “Tapping into our Inner Voice;” a six month workshop to learn about energy work and an opening of understanding how to connect to our inner self. His commitment and passion in providing workshops and retreats that promote self-love, self-growth and self-exploration is unequaled.
