Purpose:

The Beginnings Prekindergarten program serves residents in Erie Community Unit School District No. 1. The goal is to encourage and help all preschool-aged children to become ready and eager to learn.

Remarks:

Morning classes are at 8:00 to 10:50; afternoon classes are at 12:00 to 2:50; full day is from 8:00 to 2:50. The prekindergarten classes include activities and experiences that appropriate for the age of the child. Classes are led by certified early childhood teachers./ Eligibility: 3 and 4 year olds, determined by screening process. Location: Classes are held in the Erie Elementary Early Childhood Center. Cost: Free to those who qualify. Transportation: Some bus services is available.
