Sauk Valley Community College will offer its popular short course, Introduction to the Basics of Computers, from 8 a.m. to 4;30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, in Room 3K2.
If you know nothing about computers, this class is a great place to start. Participants will discover the basics such as computer components and media that can be used, keyboard and mouse operations, terminology, and the operating system defined. The class will introduce participants to operating systems, give a brief overview of basic windows commands and easy to use shortcuts, explore the types of software available, and how software is installed or removed. Students will also get the chance to tackle several basic tasks that will allow them to maintain and troubleshoot simple computer problems.
Cost for the class is $85 and includes all materials.

For those unable to attend the January 20th class, another session of Introduction to the Basics of Computers will be offered from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, in Room 3K2.
