Sauk to Offer Financial Aid Workshop

Sauk Valley Community College's Office of Student Financial Assistance will offer a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in Room 3K2. This event is sponsored by College Awareness & Preparation (CAP) and will include a drawing for a $100 gift card.

There is no charge to attend and students and/or their parents are urged to attend.

Sauk’s financial aid staff will explain the FAFSA form, how to file the FAFSA online, and more. Students must bring their U.S. Department of Education PIN number, 2008 federal taxes and 2008 W-2s for student, 2008 Federal Taxes and 2008 W-2s for parents (if student is a dependent), and a valid driver's license.

Students are urged to fill out the FAFSA form as soon as possible. They  may be eligible for more than $5,000 in free federal and state aid annually.
