SVCC's Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Inducts 43 New Members for Spring '09

Forty-three new members were recently inducted into the Beta Alpha Gamma chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) at Sauk Valley Community College. The new members and their hometowns include:

AMBOY: Cody Daniels, Katie McCoy, and Allison Wittenauer.

ALBANY: Kaeleen Jenkins.

CHADWICK: Zachary Davis.

DIXON: Cynthia Bonkowski, Diane Bugajsky, Tyler Cox, Lauren Gabriel, Karrie Gualandi, Bethany Hall, Crystal Harris, Hana Muhsin, Blair Sankey, Brooke Smith, and Carrie Smoot.


LYNDON: Samantha Deyo.


MORRISON: Bambi Carlson, Stacy Dillard, and Chiyo Palen.

OHIO: Traci Snodgrass.

OREGON: Jacob Deuth.

ROCK FALLS: Coleen Bonnell, Adrienne O’ Bryant, Timothy Richter, Alyshia Sleck, Jennifer Sondgeroth, and Ashley Stover.

SAVANNA: Katelyn Mazonet and April Miller.

STERLING: Heather Andermann, Kweku Bentum, Jamie Cervantez, Mallory Klein, Vu Minh, Erik Mitchell, Stephanie Pennington, and Abby Petrosky,

TAMPICO: Whitney Phillips.

WALNUT: Tina Thompson.

The new inductees were honored at a ceremony held recently at SVCC.

Sauk's PTK chapter, which currently has more than 100 members, is very active. It participates in scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service activities throughout the year. PTK, the most prestigious honor society for two-year colleges, has chapters across the U.S., Germany, and Puerto Rico. To become a member, students must have a 3.5 GPA and at least 12 college credits.
