Companion Dog Training Class to Run Sept. 30 - Nov. 11

September 2009

Sauk Valley Community College will offer the seven-week course “Companion Dog Training” on Wednesdays, September 30 through November 11, from 6 to 7 p.m. in Sauk’s T-1 Building.

In this class, dog owners will develop a cooperative and willing-to-please canine pal. Unruly behaviors such as jumping, nipping, stealing food, excessive barking, and running away will be eliminated. House breaking, come when called, lay down, stay, sit, and sit-stay, will become reliable behaviors. Dogs should be eight weeks or older.

There will be an orientation session on Wednesday, September 30. No dogs at orientation, but pet owners must bring shot records are a must.

Cost for the class is $65. To register, stop by Sauk’s Office of Admissions and Records, Room 1J1, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, or between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays.
