Learn to Knit Oct. 3 - 22

Sauk Valley Community College will offer Introduction to Knitting, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, October 1 through October 22, 2009 in Room 1L1A.

This four-week course will introduce students to the art of knitting. They will learn terms, techniques, and begin a simple project to work on in class. The goal is for each student to gain confidence in his or her ability and have fun learning how to knit. Knitting needles, yarn, and patterns will be provided for the first class.

Cost for the class is $35. To register, stop by Sauk’s Office of Admissions and Records, Room 1J1, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, or between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays. For more information, call 815/288-5511, ext. 212.
