Sauk Valley Community College student Loni Croft of Sterling has been awarded the KSB Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship for the 2009-10 academic year. The $1,335 award was delivered through the Sauk Foundation. Croft (at left in photo) was presented with the scholarship by KSB Auxiliary President Jan Bessert.
Croft, a student in Sauk's Radiologic Technology program, carries a 3.46 GPA. She plans to graduate in May 2010 and would like to continue her education specializing in modalities of radiology such as ultrasound, CT, or MRI. The mother of two children, Loni is the daughter of Edward and Kathy Croft of Rock Falls.
The KSB Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship is awarded to full-time Sauk students who are in financial need and plan to go into the health careers field. Scholarship recipients are selected by the Sauk Foundation's Scholarship Committee.
The Sauk Foundation is a non-profit corporation that helps to broaden the educational opportunities and services that SVCC provides for its students. Each year the Foundation distributes scholarships that total more than $160,000.
