Sauk Student Sedig Awarded Morrison Rotary Scholarship

December 2009

Sauk Valley Community College student Katelyn Sedig of Morrison was recently awarded the Morrison Rotary Club Katelyn Sedig PhotoScholarship for 2009-10. This $500 award was distributed through the Sauk Foundation.

Sedig, a speech pathology major, plans to graduate from Sauk with an Associate in Applied Science in 2011, then major in speech pathology at a four-year institution. She would like to pursue a career as a school speech therapist.
A 2009 graduate of Morrison Community High School, Katelyn is the daughter of Charles Sedig of Sterling and Susan Sedig of Morrison.

The Morrison Rotary Club selects recipients for this distinguished scholarship to help students pursue their educational goals and is one of 80 private donors that provide scholarships to deserving Sauk students.

The Sauk Foundation is a non-profit corporation that helps to broaden the educational opportunities and services that SVCC provides for its students. Each year the Foundation distributes scholarships that total more than $160,000.
