Sauk Valley Community’s College’s Office of Student Support Services and Association of Latin American Students (ALAS) will present RISK: Real Issues of the Sexual Kind, from 12:20 to 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, in the East Mall. There is no charge to attend and the public is invited.
Janice McCoy of the University of Illinois Extension will present a simulation game and guided discussion on sexuality and dating violence. In this program, these sensitive topics are handled realistically with drama and humor. The interactive dramatization follows the private lives of a group of students and highlights their risks of contracting sexually transmitted infections, becoming pregnant, and/or becoming involved in emotionally-damaging relationships.
