Sauk's Commencement Set for Friday, May 14

More than 130 Sauk Valley Community College graduates will participate in the College’s annual Commencement exercises at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 14, in the Gymnasium.

The degrees of Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, Associate in Liberal Studies, Associate in Engineering Science, Associate in Fine Arts and Certificates will be awarded. For the 2009-10 academic year, Sauk will have awarded 275 two-year degrees and 363 one-year certificates to 574 graduates.

In addition, the College’s 2010 Outstanding Alumnus/Alumna Award will also be presented.

Jeanine Tufty, assistant professor of nursing at Sauk, will be the keynote speaker. Tufty is retiring from Sauk after 20 years of teaching at Sauk.

In addition, Sauk graduates Kyle Wolber and Stacy Dillard, will each speak.
