Motivational, Comedy Hypnotist Brad Clark to Perform at SVCC

September 2010

Hypnotist and motivational comedian Brad Clark brings his “Unleashed” hypnosis comedy show to Sauk Valley Community College at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, in the Mathis Theatre. There is no charge to attend and the public is invited. This show is for mature audiences only.

In Clark’s “Unleashed” show, audiences never see the same show twice, and they can experience the state of hypnosis on stage or from their seat in the audience. Once volunteers are hypnotized, Clark guides them to faraway places where they experience feelings, smells, and more. Clark’s show features a “believe and achieve” message that has helped to motivate audiences to make positive lifestyle changes.

“If you can conceive it in your mind and believe it in your heart you will achieve it in your life,” said Clark on his website “The mind and the body don’t know the difference between imagination and reality; therefore if you can imagine it, then the body will start to respond to achieve it.”

Clark enjoys working with young adults in high schools and colleges to realize that even though they might not be conscious about the information they put inside their minds, all the information is being stored and is operating in their subconscious.

“We are similar to computers in that our subconscious is like a hard drive, retaining all the information presented and operating in the background,” explained Clark. “Our conscious is like the desktop, bringing up the stored information when needed. That is why the music we listen to, the shows and games we watch and the people that we surround ourselves with are important.”

Clark has performed at clubs and for businesses and schools across the country that include the Improv Comedy Club, the American Cancer Society, Hy-Vee Grocery, Waterloo Cedar Fall Courier, Ameristar Casino, Dine College, Black Hills State, Northwest Missouri State University, Phi-Mu Sorority, Dearborn High School, Bettendorf High School, and more.
