Basic and Conversational Sign Language Classes Start September 24

Basic Sign Language is a beginning course for those wanting to learn how to communicate basic wants and needs as well as how to communicate in emergency situations.

Conversational Sign Language is geared toward those wanting to communicate in social settings using a conceptional frame of mind as a mixture of Signed Exact English and American Sign Language will be used.

Both classes start September 24 and run until November 12 in room 2K2 on Saturdays. Basic Sign Language will run from 10:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Conversational Sign Language will run from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The cost for each class is $75.

To register, stop by Sauk's Office of Admissions and Records between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, or between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays. For more information on this class, call Sauk's Business and Community Education Office at 815/288-5511, ext. 212.
