Sauk Valley Community College will partner with IMEC for a continuous improvement series focusing on “Lean Transformation” for business this fall. The six course series will start Friday, November 4 and continue every Friday ending on December 16. Students will attend class at SVCC from 8-4:30 p.m.
SVCC wants businesses and their employees to be able to take advantage of learning more about implementing “lean” practices to improve quality and safety, eliminate unnecessary motion and inventory, maximize efficiency and save time and resources through a combination of lecture and simulation workshops.
The six courses within the series include an overview of lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, workplace organization, quick changeover, pull/Kanban system and cellular/flow management.
The registration fee for all six courses is $1950 per company seat. This will include lunch and all training materials for each session. To register for the IMEC continuing education series, visit imec.org and click on Events, or call 888-806-4632. For more information on the “lean” practices series, call IMEC Marketing Coordinator Amy Fitzgerald at 309-677-2977.
