Interested in art? Sauk Valley Community College’s art department is taking a bus trip to the Milwaukee Art Museum and Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design Thursday, April 26.
This full-day trip (bus leaving at 7 a.m. and returning at 7 p.m.) will allow participants to view a variety of art work and exhibits. The Milwaukee Art Museum holds over 30,000 works of art in over forty galleries including 15th to 20th century European and 17th to 20th century American paintings, sculpture, prints, drawings, decorative arts, photographs, and folk and self-taught art, German Expressionism, and the largest collection of work from artist, Georgia O’Keeffe.
The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) is Wisconsin's only four-year, private college of visual art and design. The group will tour Brooks Stevens Gallery of Industrial Design, Frederick Layton Gallery and the MIAD Student Gallery.
