Sauk Valley Community College’s renowned College Night returns on Tuesday, November 13 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Sauk's West Mall. More than 80 different representatives from colleges, universities, vocational-technical schools, and the military will be on hand to answer questions about their institutions and programs. This is a great opportunity for any individual wanting to learn more about specific colleges all at once.

In addition, College Night will feature two workshops to give potential new and returning students information on various resources and programs. Workshops include:

  • Focusing Families on the Future, 6 p.m.,SVCC Cafeteria. Open to high school sophomores and their parents, SVCC Recruiters Taylor Jiminez and Sarah Partington will provide information on preparing for the college search, online college resources, Sauk’s Dual Credit Program,and more.
  • Financial Aid Workshop, 6 p.m., Room 1K4. Deb Stiefel, coordinator of financial assistance, will discuss different financial aid opportunities available to students, the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA), and more.
