A Valentine's Day Treat! Unique Looping Performance

After a nice Valentine’s Day dinner with friends or a significant other, stop by Sauk Valley Community College to see Preston Pugmire’s free looping performance at 7 p.m. in Mathis Theatre.

The audience will hear guitars, bass, beats and vocals from a single person. How? Pugmire is a looping artist. He uses electronic floor pedals to record anything he plays live. He then layers multiple sounds to create an entire song from scratch all while keeping the crowd engaged and involved.

His unique performance and talent made Pugmire the most booked artist in the National Association for Campus Activities’ seven showcases and most booked artist at its 2011 national convention. Audiences will easily recognize cover songs and be amazed by his original work.

For more information on this performance, contact Ana Salgado, student activities coordinator, at 815-835-6432. Enjoy a Valentine’s Day treat with Preston Pugmire.
