SVCC Financial Assistance Office wants to remind all college students that there is still time to complete the 2013-14 FAFSA for the academic year. Students can be eligible for federal grants, work study positions, loans and more. The application is free and online.
The Financial Assistance Office can also help those interested complete the FAFSA. Just bring in 2012 federal & state taxes and W-2's for student, 2012 federal & state taxes and W-2's for parent if the student is a dependent, a PIN from the Department of Education and a driver’s license or state ID.
SVCC students that have yet to file the FAFSA and complete SVCC financial aid documents will want to do so before August 5. After this date a deferred payment arrangement will need to be in place until the financial aid files are processed.
To start the FAFSA, go to fafsa.ed.gov or learn more by calling the Financial Assistance Office at 815-835-6339.
