Adult Education FREE Fall Classes Start August 19

Sauk Valley Community College’s Adult Education Department will again offer its free adult education classes this fall starting the week of August 19, 2013. Class times and locations include:

Classes in Dixon

 St. Paul Lutheran Church:

GED Prep,Monday-Thursdays, 9:00-11:00 a.m.

 Sauk Valley Community College:

GED Prep, Tuesday-Thursdays, 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Classes in Sterling

 Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES):

 GED Prep, Tuesday-Thursdays, 9:00 – 11:00a.m.

St Mary’s Parish:

ESL, Tuesday-Thursdays, 9:00 – 11:45a.m.

Washington School:

ESL, Tuesday-Thursdays, 5:00 – 7:00p.m.

Citizenship Study Sessions, Wednesdays, 5:00 – 7:00p.m.

Classes in Rock Falls

Rock Falls Middle School

GED Prep, Tuesday-Thursdays, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

   ESL, Tuesday-Thursdays, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Computer-based GED prep programs are available for adult education students at no cost. SVCC’s Learning Lab will be open Tuesday-Thursdays from 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

These classes prepare students to complete their GED, improve or develop skills in areas such as reading, writing and math, focus on career training and higher self-esteem to help lead to the workforce or a college education. Students can register on the first day of class at the locations listed above.
